Dear Parents.
The Madison School District Transportation Team has been working diligently to streamline our operations to better serve the district and our students. We plan to eliminate the need for students to transfer buses to get to their destinations by providing direct bus routes where your student will have the same driver both morning and afternoon. We have successfully achieved this goal and had planned to start the new bus routes upon returning from Christmas Break. However, we experienced some unforeseen circumstances with transferring the old route data, and parent information for the app to the new routes. Because of this, we feel it is in our best interest to delay the rollout of the new bus routes until the start of the 2024/2025 school year in August, to avoid creating problems with the parent app, or conflicting route information.
Thank you all for your understanding in this matter, as our primary goal is to transport your students safely while providing a user-friendly parent app solution with correct and up-to-date information. On behalf of the Madison Transportation Team, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Respectfully,
Brandon Caldwell
Director of Transportation
