COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

Our community is much more than where our home is located. It is a network where you can connect & build relationships with others. Many studies have shown that building healthy relationships & spending time with your family, friends, & others in your community can help improve your overall mental well-being. The Madison Cares Department as part of the Madison School District is happy to bring our community members together through the following free events.

PINWHEELS FOR PREVENTION

546

[ APRIL ]

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. In 2008, Prevent Child Abuse America introduced the pinwheel as the new national symbol for child abuse prevention because, by its very nature, the pinwheel connotes playfulness, joy, & childhood. The pinwheel serves as a physical reminder of the great childhoods we want for all of our children. Pinwheels for prevention is a national campaign designed to increase the awareness & prevention of child abuse & promote healthy child development. The Madison School District & Madison Cares believe that all families deserve to live in communities with adequate resources to support families & provide opportunities for healthy growth & healthy developmental experiences for children. Through pinwheel displays, our community can demonstrate its commitment to helping children & families live healthy, happy lives.

To report child abuse, call the Idaho CareLine by dialing 2-1-1 or call 1-855-552-KIDS (1-855-552-5437) or call local law enforcement.
