1st-4th grade classes will attend the homecoming parade on Main Street next Friday, September 11th at noon. This will alter our regular schedule for the day, which is as follows:
-9:45-10:15 am: 1st and 2nd grade extended morning recess
-10:15-10:45 am: 3rd and 4th grade extended morning recess
-10:30: 1st and 2nd grades pick up lunch in the cafeteria/eat in classrooms
-10:45: 3rd and 4th grades pick up lunch in the cafeteria/eat in classrooms
1st and 2nd grade will load buses at 11:05, followed by 3rd and 4th grades. Buses will leave the school at 11:15. We'll be driven to an area near Flamm Funeral Home where we'll unload and head to Main Street. Our viewing area is west of the light at Ace Hardware, heading west to the corner intersection where the telemarketing building is near Mrs. Powell's. We'll head back to the buses and should be back at the school before 1, just in time for the 1:25 early release on Fridays.
If you would like to take your own kid(s) to the parade, you'll need to pick them up from the school at or before 10:45 am. Please pick up a visitor's sticker from the office and head to your child's classroom. There will be a check-out sheet hanging on the classroom door where you'll sign your child out before taking him/her out of the class.
To help teachers maintain an accurate count of their students during the field trip, students aren't allowed to separate from their class, and they must ride the bus back to the school when the parade is over. Again, if you want your child with you during or after the parade, please pick them up from school at or before 10:45 am.
