I graduated from BYU with a bachelors degree in Special Education with an emphasis in severe disabilities. I have taught both High School and Elementary School and love working with students of all ages. I love celebrating the little successes with students and their families. I feel education is a partnership with many people who have an impact in the life of a child. I enjoy working with several individuals throughout the school to help a child have a successful and meaningful school year. I love helping my students build relationships with their peers. Burton Elementary is such a welcoming and positive environment and I love being able to teach here!

I am married and have two boys. As a family we love to travel all over the world. We also enjoy building legos together. I love quilting and always have a quilt I am working on. I enjoy reading and playing games with my family.

I am from southern California and moved to Rexburg to attend BYU-Idaho. I graduated from BYU-Idaho in 2019 in Early Childhood Special Education.

I love southern food, popcorn and chewy candy. My hobbies include attending concerts, watching musicals and collecting children's literature. I also enjoy cuddling up on the couch with a blanket and a good movie.

I love to see each student progress and be proud of what they have accomplished. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from my students each day. I am proud to be a part of the Burton Elementary teaching team!

I graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2000 and a Master’s Degree in Special Education in 2004. I have enjoyed teaching since that time in both Kansas and Idaho public schools.

In addition to working with students, I enjoy reading, camping, spikeball, and spend most of my free time at my four boys’ soccer games.

I love working with students of all ages to help them learn and grow their ability to communicate. I graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Disorders and a  Master’s of Science in Speech Language Pathology. I have worked in Early Intervention, Preschool, Elementary & Secondary, and Post Secondary settings in Utah, Arizona, and Idaho. I have also enjoyed time working in clinics and private practice. The youngest person I have worked with was 2 weeks old and the oldest was just over 100. The ability to communicate across one’s lifespan is an incredible gift.

I am blessed to have an amazing and supportive husband. My daughter and two sons are incredible people that continue to amaze me each day. I love spending time in the mountains and traveling with my family.

I look forward to working with the Rexburg community and the fabulous staff and students at Burton Elementary.
