I am from Mancos, a small town in Southwest Colorado and was raised in the house my great-grandfather built. I came to Rexburg in 2007 to finish my Elementary Education degree. I had the privilege of teaching at Burton before we moved to Utah in 2015.  We returned to Rexburg in 2020 to be closer to family. I have taught Kindergarten, First, Second, Third and Fourth Grades. I like reading, hiking and going for long drives.  Star Wars, especially The Madalorian, are my favorite shows.

I was born and raised in Boise. Go Broncos! I graduated from BYU-Idaho with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I love spending time with my family, visiting Disneyland, and attending concerts.

I knew I wanted to be a teacher starting at a young age. My love for it continues to grow with every experience I am given. I am grateful that I am able to do what I am passionate about each day. I love that I get to spend my day with kind, funny, smart kids. I am an avid reader, so I enjoy the opportunities I have to expose students to the many adventures they can go on with books.

I graduated from BYU with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and started teaching in the fall of 2002. I earned a Master of Education in Literacy in 2012. I thoroughly enjoy working with the amazing students, supportive parents, and dedicated staff here at Burton Elementary.

My goal as an educator is to empower students with the knowledge and tools necessary to become life-long learners. I am passionate about learning, and it is fun to see students become interested and excited about what they are learning as well. I love seeing students feel successful as they experience the rewards of their hard work.

Aside from teaching, I love reading, and I’m always on the hunt for good books to share with my students. Some of my other hobbies include playing the piano, crafting, researching and reading about history, traveling, and spending time with family. I love living in the Upper Snake River Valley, and I appreciate our beautiful surroundings every day.
