 (There are currently NO classes available) Next classes will start in Fall of 2022 and will be available through the school year, including the summer of 2023.

Classes for the 2022-2023 School Year will be posted in June 2022

 

 

A student must be 14½ before they can begin taking Driver’s Education. The District will offer classes throughout the school year, and each class will last about 2½ to 3 months. Classroom time is 30 hours.

To sign up for Driver’s Education, please review the schedule below and go to the Madison Education Center; 60 West Main, to fill out the registration form.  Total cost is $100.00.  We are accepting cash or checks at this time.

A $50.00 non-refundable fee charged at the time of sign-up.  Please pay the remaining $50.00 before the class starts.

Documents needed to obtain a Permit at Madison County Sheriff's Office (208) 372-5003. (By Appointment Only)  Apply for the Permit 2 to 3 weeks before class starts.

  • Certified Birth Certificate
  • Picture ID (Student Activity Card, Yearbook Picture)
  • Social Security Number
  • Parent will need to show an Idaho Drivers License or Idaho ID.  

Cost of the permit is $26.50.

 

CLASSES FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR

We do not offer waiting lists.

Class Time – 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., 5 days a week for 3 weeks (30 hrs.)

Classroom - #402, Jr. High, above Aux. Gym

 

May 31, 2022 - Teri McRae, Dave Hope   Summer Class  FULL

Class Time - 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., 5 days a week for 3 weeks (30 hrs.)

(Class times may vary)

*This is an accelerated class to be completed in 8 weeks (regular class time is 2 ½ to 3 months.  Class size will be limited to 24 students.  Student will need to be available to drive several times a week.  Students will be assigned a Driving Instructor, which may be different than the Class Instructor.
